These animations were created as teaser videos for the general public for General Motors to depict the second-generation Voltec Propulsion system in the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. The updates to the system are pretty amazing (to be fair, I may be a bit biased, though).
The first animation is the version 01 teaser. The second is a version that contained more of the vehicle exterior and internal workings, which was released at the appropriate moment during NAIAS 2015. At the bottom are several stills that were pulled from the animations.
The animations were created using Maxon Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya, Element 3D and Adobe After Effects. I was responsible for creating both versions of the animation, including art direction, 3D animation and post-effects editing. This is one of the first times in a while that I can say that this GM technical animation was all me. Normally, this type of content requires multiple bodies, but time and circumstance required that I go it alone on this one.

Sometimes the path to success has to be walked alone (I think I stole that from somewhere).
Below are several stills from the animations.
