This 3D animated title is a re-creation of the closing title for the Baz Luhrmann movie "The Great Gatsby" from 2013. The title was re-created as a lecture tutorial example using Maxon Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects. Below is the full animation.
Below are images of the art deco tessellated background and the movie logo modeled for the animation. The shapes were mapped out and generated in Adobe Illustrator, and then imported into Maxon Cinema 4D where they were lathed and extruded into the 3-dimensional gold lattice work and shiny silver lettering.
